In August 2024, the 50 Mile March Foundation launched an initiative to bring together nonprofit, and private organizations supporting veterans in the Omaha metro area to begin a conversation around coordinating efforts to work collaboratively.
The Omaha Area Veterans Alliance now hosts nearly 70 agencies on a monthly basis, with a goal of leveraging our collective strengths to collect data, advocate, make warm and informed referrals, share best practices, and amplify each organizations’ mission and programs. The Alliance continues to grow and adapt and will continue to strive to unite our collective resources to best serve those who served for us.
