Audit Explanation

From 2021 to 2023, the Papillion Community Foundation served as the fiscal sponsor for the 50 Mile March Foundation, overseeing financial operations and ensuring compliance with nonprofit standards during the formative years of our organization. As a result, the financial records for this period are consolidated under the Papillion Community Foundation’s oversight. A copy of their 2023 Form 990 is available upon request, providing transparency into the fiscal management of the funds raised during that time.

In 2024, the 50 Mile March Foundation transitioned to managing its own finances as part of its growth and development into a fully independent nonprofit organization. To ensure the highest standards of accountability and transparency, the 2024 financials will undergo a full audit. This reflects our commitment to responsible stewardship of the resources entrusted to us by our donors and community partners as we continue to empower veterans facing mental health challenges and homelessness.

A copy of the full 2024 Audit is available upon request once audit is complete.
